We are looking for a talented, self-motivated Assistant Logistics Coordinator for our growing team. The successful person will provide support for all aspects of Demo instrument preparation, from liaising with the applications team for upcoming demo requirements, internal stock requests, document preparation for shipment and organising with external carriers and forwarders.The ideal person will be dynamic, forward thinking and willing to identify initiatives that will improve departmental efficiencies and enhance our internal department communications. Experience within a logistics environment is preferred although full in-house training will be provided.About us:Based near Cambridge, UK, SPT Labtech makes products that transform the way scientists work. - Scheduling, coordinating, administration and physical handling of all Demo equipment.
- Packing SPT Labtech products and order fulfil of any ancillary requirements to accompany demo instrument.
- Primary responsibility for the shipment of all Demo instruments including preparation of accurate supporting documentation.
- Maintaining the demo inventory area and updating instrument tracking calendars.
- Preparing rooms and equipment for virtual and on-site demonstration, training sessions and marketing activities.
- Working with service teams to ensure completion of required maintenance activities for equipment.
- Processing invoices and handling invoice queries.
- Assisting with shipping and customs clearance enquiries.
- Assisting with general adhoc admin duties, such as filing, doc-tracking, etc.
- Occasional support to the Stores functions including WO kitting support and perpetual cycle counts.
- Instrument packing support when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and personal information.
- Comply with Company Policies including Health and Safety procedures.
Skills & AttributesYou will have:
- Knowledge of logistics freight forwarding and customs clearance procedures.
- Good knowledge of changes or restrictions in light of Brexit desirable although not essential.
- Experience in project management or inventory management.
- Desire to maintain and promote a safe, clean, tidy and amicable working environment.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a strong attention to detail.
- Conscientious, positive and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn a variety of tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good grades at GCSE / A-Levels or B-Tec equivalents.
