Job Summary
In an effort to further enhance the engagement of its projects and highlight their contributions, UNDP is seeking an “Assistant-Multimedia Content Producer.” This role involves assisting in producing multimedia content, generating ideas, drafting scripts, shooting, basic editing etc. The Assistant-Multimedia Content Producer will also coordinate with project teams to gather content. This position is key to amplifying the impact of UNDP’s work and ensuring the effective dissemination of its achievements and lessons learned. The UN Youth Volunteer for Assistant-Multimedia Content Producer profile will require a young and self-motivated person with a background in media, digital communications/marketing, or a similar field. Prior work experience in the field would be desirable, however, fresh university graduates are also encouraged to apply. This is a full time UNV position, based in UNDP office in Dhaka, with possible frequent travel inside Bangladesh. Also, the successful candidate should occasionally expect to have flexible working hours to comply with the assignment deadlines, travel and urgent assignments that may happen during the non-working days.
Under the direct supervision of the Multimedia Content Producer and matrix management by the Head of Communications, UNDP Bangladesh, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: 1. Assist in content creation: Assist in developing audio-visual content, including videos, podcasts, infographics, and animations. 2. Assist in documenting events: Assist in capturing photos and short reels of public events. 3. Assist the projects: Working closely with project communications focal persons and assisting them in creating content for social media 4. Platform optimization: Tailor multimedia content to different platforms like Face-book, X, Insta, TikTok, YouTube and also website, ensuring it aligns with the plat-form’s specifications and audience preferences. 5. Collaboration: Work closely with vendors, consultants, procurement and logistics team and other stakeholders to ensure delivery on time. 6. Digital content archiving: Assist in gathering and storing digital content with proper tags Furthermore, UN Volunteers are required to: • Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark IVD); • Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country; • Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking, including participation in ongoing reflection activities. • Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc. • Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly arrived UN Volunteers; • Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible. • Networking and building relationships with local organizations, groups or individuals and supporting and/or participating in local volunteering initiatives.

Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
2 years of experience in digital communication and content production. Demonstrated interest and/or experience in: • Experience in multimedia software like Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or simi-lar tools. • Experience in photographing, designing, shooting, lighting, and sound recording. • Ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences across various formats. • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with individuals, teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Sociology, Anthropology, Film and Media, New Media, Development Studies, Journalism and Mass Communications, English, Marketing, Business Studies or any related fields.
