Glasgow Branch sits within the first line of defence (1LoD) of the Bank and provides financial services to individual customers as well as Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) clients. It is an important point of contact for individual customers to access their current accounts, mortgages, debit cards and credit cards services. As an Assistant Operation – Mandarin Speaking, you will be undertaking operational tasks to support the Branch in achieving its business strategies and objectives. This is a full time permanent position.Key responsibilities

  • Assist in on-going CDD and periodic files reviews
  • Develop long term relationships with customers and answer any queries they have
  • Process new accounts applications, closure of accounts, change of customers’ information
  • Cross-sell relevant products and services to customers
  • Market and promote the Bank in the target local business and commercial markets
  • Support with MI reporting and KPI tracking related work
  • Ensure that all activities meet the Bank’s internal policies, procedures and other regulatory requirements at all times
  • Support with Single customer view (SCV) project and data cleansing
  • Undertake systems testing and maintenance
  • Cover colleagues when required

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other equivalent
  • Relevant experience in similar area
  • Understanding of Retail Banking Products and processes
  • Understanding of Sanctions policy and AML Policy
  • Good email writing skills
  • Marketing/sales skills
  • Organisation skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
