Clinical Biochemistry; Protein Biochemistry with elements of Proteomics; Medical Hematology; Special Enzymology.
Performs teaching activities: lectures according to the curriculum of the open position, seminars, laboratories, and practical applications according to the department’s organigram.
Participates in the preparation of educational plans, analytical programs, and discipline syllabuses for the disciplines of the open position.
Coordinates student research projects at B.Sc., and M.Sc. levels, coordinates theses at B.Sc., and M.Sc. levels.
Participates in admission committees, B.Sc., and M.Sc defenses committees.
Performs evaluation, tutorial, and student consultation activities.
Participates in administrative activities: meetings and committees coordinating the teaching process, and other activities leading to faculty and university promotion.
Performs scientific research activities, as well as all activities detailed in the job description.

The competition for this assistant professor position consists of:
For this position of assistant professor, the oral examination consists of presenting a course, depending on the nature of the position, with a subject established under the conditions of Article 17, paragraph (1), letter b) of the UBB competition methodology, by the competition committee. (The committee determines, based on the competition subject list, and bibliography, the subject of the oral presentation for the position of assistant professor and communicates it to the candidates 48 hours before the test through email, and by posting it on the faculty’s webpage, specifying the date and time of posting, under the signature of the competition committee’s president).
To occupy this position of assistant professor, one of the following alternative minimum standards must be met:
a) Being the author/co-author of a minimum of 8 scientific papers (articles/chapters in books/books), indexed in WoS/Scopus/ErihPlus (for articles) or published by prestigious publishers in the country or abroad (for chapters/books); the candidate must be the main author for at least 4 papers.
b) Being the author/co-author of a Science or Nature publication or the main author of two articles from a publication ranked in the Top 10 in the field; scientometric references use the article’s influence score according to WoS – Journal Citation Report and the influence score refers to the publication year.
For this position, in the evaluation, the candidate’s file presenting their professional achievements accounts for 75%, while the public lecture/oral test holds a weight of 25% of the final grade proposed in the individual assessment report prepared by each member of the competition committee. The evaluation of scientific activity takes into account the quality of publications and the candidates’ contributions in relation to the requirements specified in the teaching or research standard.
The minimum duration of the oral test (lecture given by the candidate) is 30 minutes; the test must include a mandatory question and answer session with the committee and/or the audience (15 minutes).

2. Regulation of enzymatic activity: mechanisms of regulation present in prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms.
3. Biotechnological applications of enzymes.
Medical Hematology
1. Hematopoiesis Platelets, coagulation, and fibrinolysis.
2. Thrombocytopenias and thrombocytosis.
3. Anemias and polycythemias.
4. Leukocytoses and leukopenias. Leukemias. Blood changes in autoimmune diseases and non-hematological disorders.
5. Blood transfusion.
