Duties/Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

Accountable for the effective delivery via a professional project team within a HVAC and fabric build environment, working across various sectors primarily directly to the end user. To resource, programme and coordinate all labour, material, plant and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of projects in the most effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all EMCOR customers, direct and indirect. To ensure H&S, customer excellence, delivery, cost and quality is maintained to highest levels at all times. To ensure that customer service and service excellence is at the forefront in everything we do.

Duties:

  • To optimize the efficiency of a work group, by organizing, coordinating, controlling and supervising activities at the site in accordance with the contractual requirements and directions of the Senior Project Manager.
  • Responsible for efficiently and economically implementing the assigned tasks from commencement to completion in full compliance with applicable standards and specifications, within the given time frame, including monitoring and regular reporting of the overall progress.
  • Ensure effective manpower management, the justification of all other resources such as materials, tools, equipment’s etc. and arrange 10 report in time, any shortage of these resources.
  • Ensure correctness of estimated cost for works to be executed on all jobs, In order to eliminate any chance of losses and to promote revenue earning.
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of quotations and variation costs as applicable and directed by the Senior Project Manager.
  • Report to Senior Project Manager on the overall activities on a regular basis and bring to notice any difficulty to execute the job effectively.
  • To ensure complete supervision of both in-house teams and subcontractors.
  • Methodically follow up assigned work orders, update and close upon completion of job.
  • Ensure that labour hours are recorded and booked on daily basis and reference expenditure to allowances within the tender or quotation.
  • Arrange for regular site inspection to ensure standard of work and completion schedule adhered to.
  • Ensure that the client or end user endorses, by way of signature on work order form, approval of job undertaken.
  • Check the specifications of the material for proper usage of the suitable material for each job.
  • Coordinate with other teams ensuring satisfactory completion of all work requests and tasks of multi trades.
  • Guidance and mentoring of all direct employees.
  • Keep developing and maintain relationships with all Clients and potential new customers.
  • Adherence to all current company procedures and the IMS system.
  • Ensure that Periodic Progress Reports are submitted as required by the Senior Project Manager.
  • Preparation of programmes, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Review and develop designs to ensure coordination with the building structure and other associated services new and existing, to maintain systems integrity, compliances and adopt the most cost efficient methods.
  • Knowledgeable and up to date in matters relating to Health and Safety and statutory requirements including CDM Regulations and ensure compliant at all times.
  • Provide operational support as necessary to other parts of business.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Person Specification

Person Specification:

  • Experienced in HVAC building services, of which must be able to demonstrate some
  • experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a multi skilled work environment.
  • Background/Knowledge building fabric/construction type activities.
  • Have good leadership, team building skills.
  • Good communication skills and effective customer service approach.
  • Diploma Certificate or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • Knowledge of design principles
  • Commercially and financially astute.
  • Customer centric
  • Able to identify opportunity and be creative.
  • Capable of adherence to corporate systems and processes.
  • Self-starter with effective communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Capable of exceptional time management.
  • Experience in assisting quantity surveying, estimations and quotations.
  • reasonable level of computer literacy in the more common applications.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge.
  • Hold valid driving license.
  • Smart and presentable.
  • Good written and oral command of the English language.
