Our client a leading civil engineering and construction company, is looking for a dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.Our client has built a reputation for excellence in delivering top-notch infrastructure projects. - Cost Management: Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
- Valuations: Conduct site visits and prepare valuations of work in progress, ensuring accurate measurement and documentation.
- Tender Analysis: Support the tendering process by evaluating subcontractor bids and preparing tender documentation.
- Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of contracts, including monitoring compliance, preparing claims, and managing variations.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing.
- Financial Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and produce regular reports for management.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy in cost management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background: Degree or diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret drawings, and develop precise financial reports.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and consistency in cost management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external partners.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
