Our client a leading civil engineering and construction company, is looking for a dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.Our client has built a reputation for excellence in delivering top-notch infrastructure projects.   • Cost Management: Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
  • Valuations: Conduct site visits and prepare valuations of work in progress, ensuring accurate measurement and documentation.
  • Tender Analysis: Support the tendering process by evaluating subcontractor bids and preparing tender documentation.
  • Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of contracts, including monitoring compliance, preparing claims, and managing variations.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Financial Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and produce regular reports for management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy in cost management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: Degree or diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret drawings, and develop precise financial reports.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and consistency in cost management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external partners.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
