Our client is a well-established family-owned building contractor with a strong track record in various sectors, including education, housing, health, commercial, and industrial projects. Their operations encompass refurbishment, design, and construction work in the North West and Yorkshire regions.

About the role:

They are now recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their business. You’ll be working on social housing refurbishment projects across Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assist with updating all cost control procedures as advised, and working within the guidelines set out within the Group policies and procedures
• Assist with the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required.
• Assist with accurate costing for each aspect of site development
• Assist with compiling reports on costs and cash flows using the support systems available, as well as reports for the Division as required
• Assist with preparation of tenders and procurement of sub-contractors
• Process subcontract orders, payments and variations
• Attend team meetings as required
• Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures
