Bill Crews Foundation (BCF) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant to the Head of Programs to help us deliver life-changing support through our community, welfare, medical and education initiatives.

This is a newly created role, offering an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate starting their career in this field and aspiring to grow into a future leadership position.
In this important role, you will support the Head of Programs in ensuring the effective delivery of our national and international initiatives. You will contribute significantly to operational management, strategic planning, compliance and stakeholder engagement while representing BCF in the absence of the Head of Programs.
The role is full-time (38 hours per week), but we are open to discussing part-time arrangements for the right candidate. Salary is negotiable, based on skills and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the design and implementation of impactful programs aligned with BCF’s vision and values.
- Assisting with grant writing, compliance processes, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining communication with program teams to monitor progress and address challenges.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including international partners.
- Supporting the development and implementation of policies addressing child protection, gender equality, and disability inclusion.
- Preparing reports for the Board, donors, and stakeholders to showcase program outcomes.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Bachelors degree in social sciences, community development or a related field.
- Up to 2 years’ experience in program management, ideally in community services or non-profit organisations (desirable).
- Strong foundational skills in grant writing, risk management and program design, with a willingness to further develop these capabilities.
- Analytical mindset to assess program impact and develop actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to working respectively and non-judgementally with individuals from diverse and marginalised backgrounds.
