Position Highlights | The Office of the Provost at the University of Arizona invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Vice Provost, Native American Initiatives. Ranked among the top 50 of all public universities in the nation according to U.S. News and World Report, UArizona is the state’s land-grant university, a federally recognized Hispanic Serving Institution and a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU). The Assistant Vice Provost, Native American Initiatives will establish a vision, set goals, and enhance the university infrastructure to foster a culturally responsive and inclusive campus environment in accordance with the Native American Initiatives 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. The University of Arizona maintains a strong track record of enrolling and graduating Native American students at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Over 700 undergraduates and approximately 200 graduate and professional Native American students attend the University of Arizona, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Indigenous education. Additionally, it ranks number one in conferring Ph.D.’s to Native Americans according to the National Science Foundation, further demonstrating its dedication to advancing the academic pursuits of Indigenous scholars. Further, UArizona is home to leading Native scholars whose work is contributing to Native Nations and has national and global impacts. Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report | In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
