The Associate Communications Analyst will play an important in DOCK’s Business Intelligence team. You will expand your knowledge in communications measurement and evaluation within a collaborative environment. You will work on different research projects under the direction of senior team members and project manage DOCK’s regular schedule of reporting. You will work with data collectors from across all channels (media, web, social media, marketing, publishing) to collate and interpret the data and produce relevant reports to guide ongoing communications strategy and to improve the effectiveness of ADB’s communications. You will also provide administrative and logistical support to the Business Intelligence team.
You will:
- Manage multiple research projects concurrently across a variety of channels and methodologies. This may include periodic reporting for DOCK, campaign measurement, audience research, dashboard development, and ad-hoc research requests.
- Be the point person between DOCK’s data collectors and the Business Intelligence team.
- Collate, chart, and analyze data from different sources to produce insights that meet the goals of the brief.
- Create reports and presentations, which includes data entry, chart/table creation, and analysis in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advocate for ADB’s Communications Measurement & Evaluation Framework within DOCK and ADB, providing strategic guidance on indicators and research methodologies to colleagues.
- Support with the maintenance and project management of analytical tools and dashboards.
- Support Business Intelligence team with administrative and logistical tasks such as scheduling meetings and drafting emails, and other related responsibilities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned in the incumbent’s workplan.
Qualifications:
You will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications or marketing.
- Experience working in a research/insight team at an agency or in-house/client-side.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and 1 to 2 years of experience doing social media listening, channel performance analytics, campaign measurement, audience research, and other similar tasks.
- Above average skills in using standard office applications with expertise in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, and PowerPoint; proficiency in using tools/platforms such as Meltwater, TalkWalker, Similar Web, and Google Analytics; and knowledge of data visualization software such as Power BI and Tableau and other standard Business Intelligence software.
- Experience with Boolean searches and unstructured data.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and creative innovation skills
- Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data and insights both in writing and verbally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
