The Development and Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking candidates for the position of Associate in based in the Bay Area to support the Silicon Valley team. The Silicon Valley Associate provides detail-oriented administrative support to the Development and Outreach team, with a focus on managing and organizing the Salesforce database while also collaborating on all communications, administration, and event coordination. The Associate will participate in team meetings and will have opportunities to attend trainings and events related to human rights, as well as network with colleagues around the world. Some evening and weekend work will be required for events. The Associate will report to the Silicon Valley Associate Director.
This is a hybrid role that requires working in the office 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Database & Fundraising Operations: Maintain the city’s Salesforce and Marketing Cloud database, ensuring data accuracy and recording all information in a timely manner:

Team and Committee Administration
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in human rights, international relations, social science, or a related field is preferred
Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required.
Related Skills and Knowledge:
Other: The flexibility to work some evenings or weekends, as needed, related to event coordination is required. Applications for this position must possess valid US work authorization.
Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is at $ 60,001 – $64,328. Human Rights Watch offers comprehensive employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, an outstanding retirement savings plan and twenty (20) days of vacation per year.
