ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, CASH MANAGEMENT, Research Financial Operations (24500345340124)

Reporting to the Associate Controller, the Associate Director, Cash Management is responsible for the overall management of the Cash Management group. This position oversees the receivables management of over $500 million in annual revenues from Sponsored Projects and Miscellaneous Receivables accounts. This position manages a team of four billing & account specialists and is responsible for reviewing the teams monthly metric reporting, escalating accounts to various parties, as necessary, and providing support to the team to resolve issues.

Major duties of this position also include:

  • Oversees all aspects of the University’s miscellaneous accounts receivables including but not limited to creating master data as requested by various departments or schools and collaborating with University user departments to provide guidance with regard to invoicing and collection of outstanding accounts receivables.
  • Assists in business processes re-engineering and systems implementation.
  • Participates in the planning, development, and implementation of new or revised University policies and procedures.
  • Provides high quality customer service to external sponsors/customers and the University community with the knowledge and understanding of the policies and procedures of the Cash Management Office.
  • Prepares, presents and facilitates training for the University community in relation to cash management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5 – 8 years of work experience, preferably in a university or customer service environment.
  • Demonstrated exceptional organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be highly detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize routine tasks and ad-hoc requests.
  • A self-starting, diplomatic, proactive individual capable of managing people and processes.
  • Intermediate skills utilizing Excel, including complex formulas to acquire, organize, and analyze data.
  • Ability to work (both independently and in conjunction with others) effectively and cooperatively in a small, collegial team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with analyzing detailed financial records, legacy accounting systems, and SAP.
