The Office of Undergraduate Admission assembles a freshman class of 1,700 students and a transfer class of approximately 25-40 students each year. The Office of Undergraduate Admission (UGA) seeks an Associate Director of Admission who, under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Admission for Regional Outreach, will administer, implement university and/or interpret department admission policies and procedures.
This is a 100% remote work opportunity based in one of the following regions as your home office:
· Los Angeles south to San Diego, CA
· Denver, CO and Rocky Mountain region
· Chicago, IL (inclusive of Milwaukee, WI; Columbus, OH; Detroit, MI; and other Midwest locations)
· New York with several cities in the northeast corridor including New York City; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA; and potentially the mid-Atlantic area
· Atlanta, GA and the greater southeastern region, including Florida
Your responsibilities include:
· Reading, evaluating, and recommending undergraduate applicants to the Admission Committee to consider for admission based on current university priorities.
· Developing and implementing and evaluating a strategic plan for outreach within your remote work location/region to inform, draw, and enroll academically exceptional students.
· Developing and delivering outreach programs in local and regional communities, conducting informational meetings and responding to questions regarding admission and the student experience at Stanford.
· Serving as a public relations and information resource championing Stanford University as well as broader themes of college affordability and accessibility.
· Cultivating and maintaining relationships with educators, community-based organizations, professional organizations, students and parents within your remote work location/region.
· Cultivating and maintaining relations with Stanford alumni admission volunteers in your remote work location/region and supporting alumni training, volunteering, and yield efforts.
· Representing Stanford University at activities and events, meetings, committees and conferences.
· Overseeing the collection of outreach data, developing reports and analyses, and making recommendations for future regional outreach efforts.
· Serving as an ‘on the ground’ outreach coordinator and supporting admission officers assigned to your remote location/region.
· Liaising with admission colleagues at other institutions in execution of nationwide college outreach programs.
· Managing annual hiring of part-time seasonal reader staff in their training and supervision.

· Bachelor’s degree and 3 years (4-5+ years highly desirable) relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures .
The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $69,000 – $119,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
