Scope of Position 
Responsible for daily operations and direction of ambulatory and community programs supporting OSUWMC and department specific mission, vision, and goals.  The position is responsible for engaging and operationalizing corporate wellness partnerships, will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of pool, fitness and weight management programing. Works with department leadership team to establish and update policies and procedures, ensures compliance with OSUWMC and department policies and procedures, JCAHO, and other regulatory agencies.   Supervises, coordinates education, training, and documentation of staff competencies.  Leads Exercise is Medicine and all programs that fall under the umbrella of EIM (Diabetes, weight control, Arthritis, and Cancer), and related OSUWMC wellness programs under Employer Health Services.  This position will help direct collaborative efforts and management of all parties inside the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany, regional business development, and specialty programs for the community.

Position Summary 
Provides strategic wellness program management, leadership, and growth. This position will develop and implement continuous improvement processes for ambulatory and community wellness program delivery, data collection, outcomes, and reporting. Responsible for planning, design, development, communication, training, and execution of wellness and community health programs with a focus on continued improvements and enhancements. Collaborates with and engages stakeholders for the execution and delivery of strategic program objectives and deliverables, providing recommendations on scope, schedule, resources, budget, and risks. The position coordinates dynamic teams of individuals who meet business objectives, schedules, and outcomes, and will drive toward process improvement and alignment as the first approach to resolution. Serves as a team lead within programs by providing management, covering for staff when needed, monitoring program quality, managing a project plan and contributing to project status reporting.

Minimum Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training or related healthcare field.  Preferred certification as Exercise is Medicine Specialist.  Minimum of 6 years of wellness program or related experience.  Proven experience in communications, public relations or related field required. Must have excellent verbal communication skills as well as presentation and negotiation skills. Adapts easily to a fast-paced and constantly changing organization, department and work environment.
