JOB SUMMARY

Under direction of the Director of Student Financial Services Operations will oversee operations staff; monitor delivery of aid and system integrity; assist with setting vision and goals within operations and the department; perform reconciliations and data analysis; lead contact for NCAA regulations; and serves as secondary contact for audits.

JOB DUTIES

  • Assists with setting vision and goals by identifying priorities and creating methods for accessing and using data available through university software and other resources which leads to compliant and timely delivery of aid; responsible for complex data analysis and report creation; monitors leveraging models; provides data for recruitment and retention programs. 

  • Assists with system enhancements; monitors system integrity and quality control; participates in the development, testing and implementation of student information systems related to all student financial transactions and sources. Makes recommendations and oversees implementation of policy changes and process improvements in line with University, division and department strategic plans.  Continual assessment of compliance with federal, state and other partner regulations.

  • Responsible for daily supervision of operations staff to ensure quality development, enhancement, and maintenance of automated system processes; assists with staff training, assessment and innovation efforts; contact for day to day system and processing troubleshooting; and responsible for review daily, weekly, monthly variance and reconciliation reports.

  • Serves as point of secondary contact for internal and external audits; serves as contact for NCAA regulations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and university scholarship and financial aid regulations, policies, procedures, and practices

  • Thorough knowledge of related computer system operations and processes

  • Knowledge of analytical and accounting principles and practices

  • Ability to recognize, organize, and prioritize needs/tasks, and act accordingly

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with three (3) years of related experience, and a working knowledge of scholarship/financial aid programs, policies, procedures, and practices.
