Kelley’s Management Graduate Programs office (MGP) offers the highly anticipated Master of Science in Management (MSM) program. The MSM program will enroll students with a variety of academic backgrounds and prepare them for a broad range of careers in management and people focused occupations. 


Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Works with Program Chair and Director to develop, design, and execute the overall student recruitment strategy for the MSM program in the MGP office to deliver well-qualified and diverse cohorts.
  • Meets with prospective students.
  • Evaluates applications.
  • Interviews applicants.
  • Makes admission recommendations.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with myriad stakeholders including Program office leadership and team as well as with Kelley faculty and staff (e.g., Undergraduate Program, +Kelley Program, Marketing & Communications, etc.), campus entities (e.g., College of Arts and Sciences, Jacobs School of Music, Athletics, Public Health, Computing and Engineering., Office of International Admissions, UITS, etc.), and other universities.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing and recruitment strategies, including highly personalized communications with student suspects and prospects throughout the year.
  • Participates in career and graduate fairs, plans and leads information sessions, delivers classroom presentations, and presents to other targeted student populations to increase awareness of the MSM program.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintains, implements, and oversees a holistic recruitment yield tactical plan.
  • Develops, implements, and administers plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of organizational goals.
  • Integrates a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with other departments, geared toward specific student declared academic major, career interests, and geographic factors.
  • Identifies and develops partnerships for outreach to prospective students and influencers.
  • Interprets academic policies and exercises authority and independent judgment.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates programs and processes and determines the effectiveness of markets and strategies.
  • Exercises independent judgment and uses census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations.
  • Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to identify targets of opportunity to attract and enroll under-represented populations.
  • Participates in the assessment and evaluation of various models.
  • May attend meetings or serve on committees with the admissions stakeholders, including all staff meetings, recruitment, and outreach team meetings, customer service lead meetings, and undergraduate recruitment council meetings.
  • May provide guidance to other admissions counselors.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
