The State Water Resources Control Board’s Office of Sustainable Groundwater Management has an opening for an Associate Government Program Analyst in OSGM Unit V. The incumbent will help implement the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). SGMA may be the biggest change in California water law in the last century. SGMA was enacted to halt groundwater overdraft and bring groundwater basins into balanced levels of pumping and recharge, ideally through local management of groundwater. This position is located at 1001 I St.13th Floor, Sacramento, CA. This position may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule.

Duties:

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst and Coordinator supports the effective operations of the Office of Sustainable Groundwater Management and conducts analyses to support the operations of the office. They work with a team and independently, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and are familiar with the program and office. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.

Pay: $5,855.00 – $7,327.00 per month
