As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Associate specialising in EU sanctions and export control.

Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on compliance with EU sanctions regulations and export control requirements;
• Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs for clients;
• Draft legal documents, including contracts, opinions, and compliance manuals;
• Stay abreast of changes in EU sanctions and export control laws and regulations;
• Collaborate with senior lawyers to provide strategic legal advice to clients;
• Advise and represent clients in sanctions-related litigation before the EU Courts and national courts of EU Member States.

Qualifications and experience:

• Law degree and admitted to practice law in an EU Member State;
• 2-4 years Practical experience in EU sanctions and export control law;
• Strong understanding of EU regulations and policies related to sanctions and export control;
• Prior experience in EU institutions (EU Commission, Council, CJEU) in the field of sanctions would be a distinct plus;
• Excellent research, analytical, and drafting skills;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently;
• Native/Excellent English language skills (oral and written) and a working knowledge of at least one additional European language.
