Salary: Level A – $80,258 – $108,906 p.a. (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% super

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Placement Facilitator with Going Rural Health (GRH). Based in Wangaratta, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that students from nursing and allied health disciplines undertake high-quality rural placements. You’ll have the chance to foster innovative placements, provide education and support using your connections within rural communities, all while contributing to the vital mission of improving rural health education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage with community and health services to enhance student education and placements in rural health
  • Design and develop new and innovative rural placements in both traditional and non-traditional settings using diverse models
  • Consistently employ evidence-based approaches to education, teaching and student placement design and development
  • Lead and develop strong partnerships with community and health services in the local region

Who We Are Looking For

You excel in student support, development and mentoring. Your cultural competency with diverse communities drives meaningful engagement. With knowledge of rural healthcare and strong communication skills, you’re poised to make an impact.

You will also have:

  • Qualification in a nursing or allied health discipline
  • Demonstrated innovation in nursing and/or allied health education in a rural setting
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of partnerships with local health, education and other stakeholders
  • Experience in providing interprofessional education to nursing and/or allied health students or professionals
  • Experience in supporting, facilitating or developing student placements in rural settings

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn’t have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
