As an Associate Operations Coordinator, you will: provide support to the Chief Economist and Director General in the smooth administration of the department; support and contribute to the execution of ERDI’s communication strategy, dissemination of knowledge within the department, and perform coordination and administrative work for the front office; and coordinate inter-departmental activities and support in organizing the department’s activities and knowledge events.

- Assist in preparing drafts, multimedia, and content for communication activities in the department.
- Support the Chief Economist and Director General on appropriate arrangements for meetings, travel, accommodation, and events. Prepare mission authorization requests, travel request authorizations, and requests for reimbursement of business travel. Prepare and submits complete and accurate documents relating to meetings, mission travels, and other events.
- Liaise with ADB staff inside and outside the work area, executing agencies, and donor countries as required. Provide support on the application/interpretation of work area procedures, guidelines, and formats to junior administrative staff.
- Contribute to the development of department databases, systems, and procedures to ensure the efficient monitoring and retrieval of information. Ensure that ERDI’s document log is in order to facilitate meeting of deadlines required of the department. Maintains a database of various meeting minutes and ensures that these are disseminated across the department.
- Disseminate publications received from external agencies to concerned staff in the department. Ensure that the back-to-office reports of the Chief Economist and Director General are disseminated to department staff promptly.
- Provide support for the front office in organizing the department’s activities and perform coordination and administrative work related to preparation of programs and events.
- Handle classified information in accordance with security arrangements of ADB.
- Respond to memos/correspondence/emails on behalf of the Chief Economist and Director General and ensure that all final correspondence and documents are prepared in compliance with ADB’s standards.
- Carry out administrative tasks as are reasonably assigned in consonance with the role.
- Perform any other duties as may be required and reflected in the incumbent’s workplan, such as preparation of reports, preparing tables and charts for reports, etc.

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social science, or other related fields.
- At least 5 five years relevant professional experience.
- Strong coordination, interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
- Familiarity with operational and administrative procedures and full understanding of the interactions between different ADB work areas and relevant workflows.
- Advanced computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software used within ADB.
- Thorough understanding of ADB organization and in-depth knowledge of ADB’s diverse procedures and operations.
- Proven ability to work independently and with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English.
