The Associate Program Support Specialist will work directly with staff and the Director of Operations to support center programming, especially the Academic Success Program. Will coordinate with the Center Director to improve client support and satisfaction.

Essential Duties
  • The Associate Program Support Specialist will update and create materials and assist with program organization and supervision.
  • Will train and supervise student interns and volunteers.
  • We assist with intern recruitment, interviewing, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate Livescan procedures and appointments with CalState Fullerton Police Department for academic interns and volunteers. 
  • Will develop tutoring schedule for interns and assist the director with intern evaluations.  
  • Perform client formative and summative assessments. 
  • Responsible for general correspondence, such as answering the phone, attending Center activities, and welcoming walk-in clients.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with children and underserved minorities.
  • Advance computer skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged standing and walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry fifteen (15) pounds of objects/material, maybe exposed to extreme noise level, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
