Description

The Columbia University PET Center in the Department of Radiology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University is searching for a candidate to facilitate ongoing research projects involving development and delivery of new drugs. Specifically, the candidate will participate in the development and validation of radioactive diagnostics and therapeutics delivered to specific diseases and organs, like to the brain, bladder, prostate or disease site.  Candidate will be expected to partake in manuscript and grant writing activities.

Position requires:

  • Ph.D. in chemistry or molecular biology.
  • 3 years of related and professional experience.
  • Significant experience scanning with microPET/CT/bioluminescent equipment.
  • Significant experience using focused ultrasound to permeabilize the blood brain barrier.
  • Significant experience performing molecular biology techniques, including western blotting, IHC/IF, cell culture work, etc.
  • Experience performing orthotopic tumor implantation in the brain and bladder.

The applicant must have a strong track record of peer review publications demonstrating experience in all areas listed above. Experience assisting grant writing is preferred.

Hiring salary range $70,000-$70,000

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
