The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) of Columbia University invites applications for Associate Research Scientists with experience in novel stable isotope geochemistry methods, with a particular focus on, but not limited to, transition metals. The successful candidate(s) will be part of a dynamic group of researchers working on innovative development and application in isotope geochemistry, with a current focus on potassium, nickel, antimony, tungsten and uranium. The NICER (Novel Isotopes in Climate, Environmental and Rock) Lab (NICER Lab (columbia.edu )) and its research group studies a range of problems in large-scale Earth geochemistry, cosmochemistry, isotopic enrichment (e.g. for fusion research), environmental pollution, and biomedicine. These positions will be based at the LDEO campus in Palisades, New York, in the research group of Alex Halliday.
