Responsibilities
– Coordinated and supports the delivery of training for UNRWA Syria Field (SFO) staff on humanitarian principles related topics, such as in-person trainings on humanitarian principles or training on integrated assessments of UNRWA installations in conjunction with Associate Area Support Officers.
– Contributes to the development and update of training courses on humanitarian principles related topics for the Agency in conjunction with the Humanitarian principles team at headquarters. This includes support to ensure that the mandatory e-course on humanitarian principles reflects current developments in SFO and support for the development of targeted online and in-person trainings, depending on the specific topic or the target audience.
– Contributed to the development of mechanisms for evaluating the effectiveness of various training modules. Processes and analyzes learning data to draw insights and follows up to improve learning initiatives, address any issues identified and further improve the effectiveness of humanitarian principles-related training in SFO.
– Monitor internal communications and other UNRWA training courses, identifying high-quality, attractive material for use in training or internal communications related to humanitarian principles in SFO.
– Engages closely with internal and community outreach activities on humanitarian principles, ensuring that messaging aligns with training efforts, and vice versa.
– keeps abreast of applied learning developments and best practices in the humanitarian sector which can be applied to UNRWA.
– Prepares training reports and briefings, and conduct oral and written translations of Arabis and English where required.
– Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education
– A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Law, human rights, internal relations, social sciences, development studies, Administration, Education or another field of relevance.
– Experience developing and supporting blended learning programs with an e-learning component is required.
– Training facilitation experience is also required.
