Job Overview:
The Audit Intern supports audits of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) locations and functions that appraise the adequacy and the effectiveness of the IRC’s operating, reporting, and compliance processes and controls.
The Audit Intern will not only strive to provide the highest level of professional service but also maintain the highest ethical standards and due professional care.
Major Responsibilities:
• Supports the audit planning process including information requests, program analysis, sample selection, and work paper set up.
• Supports location and functional audits and special reviews.
• Adherence to the Institute of Internal Auditors professional standards.
Job Requirements:
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
– MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
– Organizational and time-management skills.
– Basic Auditing Principles and Techniques.
– Communications – Written and Oral English.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
**Certificates or Licenses:**CPA/CA or ACCA, or actively pursuing one of those certifications.
**Language Skills:**Fluency in French is a plus.
Preferred experience & skills:
– Data Analysis.
– Internal Controls and Business Processes.

• Standard office working environment based in Nairobi, Kenya – hybrid remote.
