Who are we?

AVEC represents the European poultry sector, together we raise the voice of the European poultry meat sector. The members include national ‎organisations that represent the poultry sector and poultry trade in 16 EU member states and the UK.‎

About the position

We are looking for a dynamic intern who is willing to learn and contribute to our small team by working with various tasks in the field of public affairs in the agri-food sector at EU level.

Tasks

• Monitor, provide research and analyse relevant policies affecting the EU poultry sector;
• Actively participate in EU funded projects (data collection, analysis, meetings, etc.);
• Support the planning and execution of events, conferences, or webinars organised by AVEC;
• Assist in preparing advocacy and technical materials;
• Help draft and format newsletters, meeting minutes, update the website;
• Assist with general office tasks (updating databases, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials etc.).

About the candidate

• Quick learner, ability to grasp complex concepts rapidly;
• University-level education (master’s degree) in EU studies and/or international relations and/or agro sciences;
• Fluent oral and written communication in English – other languages are an asset;
• Strong research and analysis skills;
• Team-player, proactive and inquisitive mindset;
• Ability to work individually;
• Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are a must).
