CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Agricultural Machinery Technician to be part of the CSISA-MEA project.

This position will be based in Bogura, Bangladesh.

Duties and Responsabilities:

• Support MDO’s in Preparing fields for Conducting demonstrations, adaptive trials, field days, training or any other field programmes on agricultural/ light engineering/machine demonstration related programmes.
• Actively visit to CSISA-MEA stakeholders (farmers/manufacturers/dealers) and collect time to time need based information for assisting MDO’s in making plans in accomplishing field targets.
• Daily monitor the day-to-day field activities and share the work updates with respected supervisor.
• Interact and organize meetings with various stakeholders and partners to discuss, streamline and help them to implement field activities
• Closely work with MDO’s with their direct assistance.
• Perform any other duties as instructed by supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

• At-least 1-2 years of experience working in related job field.
• Excellent writing and speaking skills in both Bangla and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work following team supervision and direction.
• The selected candidate requires the following competencies: Teamwork, Client Orientation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving.

The position is for Bangladesh Nationals for an initial fixed-term contract of 1-year with 3 months probationary period, which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds.
