An excellent and rare opportunity has arisen to join the London office of a US law firm as its first Banking and Finance PSL / Knowledge Lawyer.The firm’s growing banking and finance group advises its varied client base on a broad range of domestic and cross-border legal matters. The group is looking for an experienced banking and finance lawyer to help it to develop its knowledge strategy and implement knowledge related projects.This challenging and exciting greenfield site role will include monitoring legal developments to keep the group and its clients up to date, working with the group to identify business development opportunities, developing and delivering legal training, meeting regularly with other PSLs at the firm and liaising with them to facilitate the sharing of best practice and knowledge, attending external training and conferences to keep up to date with relevant documentation and to raise the profile of the group and the firm, and helping to develop internal and client facing technologies for the banking and finance group.The successful candidate will have practised as a banking and finance lawyer at a major law firm, and will have experience of drafting banking precedent documents. Previous PSL experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
