Job description

This leading law firm seeks a banking associate/senior-level associate solicitor with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE in Banking & Finance for its Edinburgh office.

You will support and lead on a wide variety of transactional and banking advisory work, primarily covering fund finance, leveraged finance and acquisition finance work, but also including real estate finance, debt restructuring, corporate funding and securitisation.

Core Tasks:

• Advise on banking matters, draft and negotiate loan/security documentation
• Contribute to sector-focused group for overall client business objectives
• Project manage transactions, collaborate on multi-disciplinary matters
• Conduct legal research, manage junior team members
• Participate in business development and deliver internal/client training

Person Specification:

• Enthusiastic with technical excellence in finance
• Commercially focused, stays updated on legal developments
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Strong research skills, adapts to client needs
• Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and work in a team
