UNICEF Brazil is looking for two experienced Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Officer professional. You will have to provide technical, operational, and administrative assistance in WASH programming processes. This exciting opportunity, when done effectively, has a significantly contribution to improve child survival, growth, and development and reduce inequalities in the country.
This is a fixed term post, level NO-B and is a batch recruitment for 2 positions. One position will be based in Salvador and another in Belém duty station. This job opportunity is for Brazilians only or internal candidates with a work permit for Brazil.

Under the supervision of the Chief WASH-CEED (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Climate, Environment, Energy, Disaster Risk Reduction), the WASH Officer provides technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the WASH-CEED programming process, through the application of theoretical and practical technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing, and presenting programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations, and procedures to support the development, implementation and monitoring of the WASH-CEED output results of the Country Programme.

This position has been assessed as an elevated risk role for Child Safeguarding purposes as it is either a role with direct contact with children, a role that works directly with identifiable children’s data, a safeguarding response role, or an assessed risk role. Additional vetting and assessment for elevated risk roles in child safeguarding (potentially including additional criminal background checks) apply.

Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.
