Behavioral Science – FT Administrative Faculty – California Southern University (100% Remote)

The Administrative Faculty member reports directly to the Program Chair and provides leadership for Faculty teaching in a set of related program areas. Working closely with the Program Chair, the Administrative Faculty provides performance evaluation and feedback to develop adjunct Faculty effectiveness. The Administrative Faculty makes recommendations to the Program Chair to resolve student complaints and questions, especially those involving Faculty. In addition, the Administrative Faculty member collaboratively develops and revises processes related to Faculty including but not limited to hiring, on boarding, evaluation, and development.
Manage pre-session activities and classroom set-up of courses taught by faculty.
Analyze data related to class, faculty, and student performance to provide recommendations for improvement for curriculum, instruction and administrative processes.
Support all policies and procedures related to the University, and Program-specific retention goals.
Address and process assorted student issues including, but not limited to academic integrity violations, grade changes, grade appeals, and incomplete grades, escalating issues as necessary and appropriate.
Ensure faculty adhere to policies and procedures related to their role.
Provide consistent coaching and guidance to faculty to realize continuous improvement.
Responsible for implementation of faculty performance management and overall quality of instruction.
Serve on one or more academic committees.
Assist the Program Chair in scheduling instructors ensuring appropriate student/instructor ratio.
Complete professional development activities applicable to online supervision as well as in discipline-specific area of expertise.
Teach a minimum of one class a year.

Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in related field recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
Higher education teaching experience or related professional experience
Experience teaching in online higher education
Supervisory experience (minimum of three years’ experience)
Preferred Experience
Terminal Degree from a regionally accredited institution in related field recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
Higher education faculty supervisory experience
Experience managing virtual teams
