About the roleBalfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Bid Coordinator to join our Power Transmission & Distribution business.Role Purpose:To proactively support the bid team with planning and coordinating activities for PQQ and tender submissions.The role also includes supporting the bid teams with administrative duties, such as effective management of the CRM system, and overseeing the accurate update of the Gated Business Lifecycle governance system by opportunity owners and Bid leadership.Location: DerbyWhat you’ll be doing

• Support Bid Lead with the management of the end-to-end bid process, including scheduling, planning, and coordination of bid activities.
• Monitor bid progress and ensure all deadlines are met by workstream owners
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for bid responses
• Support the bid lead to maintain and update the CRM system with accurate bid-related information
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data within the CRM system and maintain compliance with company governance requirements
• Generate and analyse CRM reports to support bidding activities and decision-making for future opportunities and work winning growth strategy
• Oversee the Gated Business Lifecycle governance system to ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards
• Coordinate and book gate review diaries and ensure all required documentation is prepared and available for review
• Track and report on the status of bids within the Gated Business Lifecycle
• Act as business unit liaison with gated business lifecycle community of practice working group
• Chair weekly opportunity review meetings
• Coordinate the SharePoint bid platform/site/folders to be consistent, well laid out and easy for users to navigate
• Be fully familiar with the client bid portal to include timely downloading of client documents, tender amendments and clarifications, and uploading of submissions and clarification questions/responses
• Manage bid portals daily, identifying and downloading new opportunities for distribution to relevant people in the business, keeping track of deadlines and managing initial responses.

Who we’re looking forSkills /Knowledge:

• 2 to 3 years experience in similar previous role
• Thorough in approach with keen attention to detail
• Deadline and process oriented
• Well organised with the capacity to take on a wide variety of tasks
• Strong time and project management skills with ability to prioritise
• Confident to lead the coordination of the bid and work with bid team members from across the Business Unit
• MS OfficeAWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio SharePoint and Teams
• Experience of the bid process in the commercial and/or public sector bid environments

The following qualities/experience are desirable to this role:

• Previous experience of coordinating complex / disparate teams to deliver high quality output
• Good report writing skills
• Scrupulous eye for detail, and high regard for accuracy
• Influencing skills.
• Understanding of the need for Teamwork & Collaboration
