You will work as part of a team producing bids for future projects. You will be required to attend our Warwick office when required. Any other work can be performed from home.What you will do:Bid Managers are responsible for efficiently delivering bids end-to-end, while keeping in line with Telent’s bid governance procedures, so we are looking for process-oriented, methodical people. At the same time, we expect our bid managers to provide constructive challenge when things stand in the way of good customer service or process improvement – we need people who can adhere to best practice but who are always looking to improve how we do things.Who you are:We are looking for experienced passionate and driven individuals who would like to join our team and help us shape the future of our Rail offerings. As a bid manager in our Rail division, you will lead bids into high-profile customers such as Network Rail and TfL. You will coordinate and manage bid teams (consisting of subject matter experts, bid writers and commercial leads) to develop compelling written and financial submissions that help us secure exciting, technically challenging, and commercially viable projects.In Telent bid managers also coordinate inputs to the bid cost model. Good excel skills and commercial acumen would be desirable, but training and support are available to help with this aspect of bidding.This role reports to the Business Development Director. You will be part of a team based at our Warwick site, where you will be required to attend at least 1 day a week, the rest can be done from home.Typical Deliverables:The end-to-end management & production of timely, high quality and ultimately successful bids in keeping with Telent’s bid procedures.This will include:

• Developing bid winning strategies in partnership with the opportunity owner & business heads

Producing material from Go/No Go stage through to deal review, bid submission & win / loss reviews
Post bid submission support including coordinating responses to clarification questions and supporting customer presentations. * Bid and Proposal feedback and reviews – won & lost – including recommendations for improvement.Business Operations Skills & Qualifications

• Previous in-depth Bid Management experience
• Involved in high profile complex bid with values of £5-6 Million pounds.
• Excellent attention to detail, be driven and well organised.
• A proven ability to write and ‘Red Review’ answers to tender questions to a winning standard.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Essential:

• Experience of producing high (£10m+) and medium-value (£5m+) bids to the public sector in an environment such as Rail (ideally) or similar such as Intelligent Transport System, Defence, Transport and Emergency Services markets.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• In depth Bid Management experience.
• Ability to present, persuade and influence at all levels via strong interpersonal communications skills.
