ROLE PURPOSEWe are seeking an experienced and versatile Bid/Tender Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage requests for tender documents, serve as a subject matter expert in tender response strategy, and collaborate closely with various specialists within our teams. Your responsibilities will also include writing and submitting comprehensive tender responses.You will work closely with the CEO & the Partnerships Team to analyse bid requirements and specifications, ensuring full compliance throughout the process. The ideal candidate will excel in tender preparation, market and product research, and possess strong corporate writing skills. Additionally, you should be adept at producing high-quality visuals, presentations, and documents.If you are detail-oriented, skilled in strategic analysis, and have a proven track record in bid management, we would love to hear from you.DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify Bid Opportunities: Support the Partnerships team in identifying potential bid submission opportunities and communicate these with relevant stakeholders.
- Proposal Development: Create comprehensive proposal templates and responses for complex proposal requests, and develop an internal library of resources.
- Bid Management: Oversee the entire bid/response process, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
- Presentation and Documentation: Develop engaging presentation packages and detailed briefing documentation to support bid submissions.
- Process Improvement: Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of proposal and presentation development.
- Industry Analysis: Analyse relevant industry literature, draft bid proposal content, and verify all documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Information Gathering: Conduct interviews with technical subject matter experts to gather precise information required for bid responses.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in writing bid proposals within the private or public sector.
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a high volume of commercial tenders within various timelines.
- Strong knowledge of bid writing principles and the ability to translate complex information across diverse subject matters.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate business rationales.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively, managing research projects, data analysis, and coordination with the executive team.
Preferred:
- At least 3+ years of prior experience in a high-growth company or tech startup.
- Experience as a Bid Writer in the education or education technology industry.
- Proven success in winning significant bids and government tenders for education projects in the UK and internationally.
- A track record of winning proposals within highly competitive markets.
