Our Biodiversity Team is working to ensure that decision makers make the right choices for
bats, and to enable the effective management of landscapes and the built environment for bats
and other wildlife.

We are now looking for a Biodiversity Projects Assistant to join us on a part-time basis,
working 30 hours per week, for a 12 month fixed term contract, with a view to extension
(subject to funding and performance).

The Role

As a Biodiversity Projects Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the
Biodiversity Team.

Playing a key role in delivery and reporting for the team, you will also promote the work of
the team through a variety of media. You will work with our Communications team to raise our
profile and connect with our supporters.

You will also assist in the collection of data on the impact of the Biodiversity Team,
monitoring change over time and identifying gaps in engagement.

Additionally, you will:

  • Manage queries from our inboxes
  • Liaise with sponsors and distribution teams
  • Take meeting minutes
  • Update project records
  • Create a team reference library

About You

To be considered as a Biodiversity Projects Assistant, you will need:

  • Experience of study, work or volunteering in the ecological, biodiversity or environment
    sector
  • Experience of working in an office or busy working environment
  • Experience of administration, note taking and report writing
  • Experience in the collection, management and analysis of data
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms
  • A good understanding of the use of social media to publicise and promote work
  • At a minimum, GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C grade/grade 4 or above)
