Job dates: May – October (Start and end dates are flexible)
One 6-month position is available, working 40 hr/wk. Primary tasks may include invasive plant species control and field mapping with ArcGIS Field Maps, forest inventory surveys, moist soil vegetation surveys, shorebird counts during migration, and data entry. Technician will be expected to assist with other Refuge programs, including pollinator garden work, visitor service events, and general maintenance activities such as trail maintenance. Applicants must be willing to work outdoors, both independently and with other people, and possess good communication skills.
Refuge housing is available at a low monthly cost.
