TASKS:
- Support in the implementation catalogues of different species in RAREC.
- Develop and implement the Terrarium, an area in RAREC to breed amphibians, insects and other species for educational purposes.
- Support in research on native wildlife species, with a focus on conservation strategies.
- Participate in the planning and execution of conservation projects.
- Conduct field surveys to assess the health of local ecosystems and monitor species populations.
- Manage databases for animal records, research data, and environmental monitoring results.
- Give lectures about conservations topics to interns and volunteers.
- Develop and present educational materials for workshops, school visits, or community events, in coordination with the Education Coordinator.
- Supervise and support volunteers and interns in daily tasks and projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3-month commitment, ideally 6 months.
- Background in biology, or related fields.
- Knowledge of safety protocols around wild animals.
- English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Spanish is a plus.
