British Trust for Ornithology (BTO)
tendersglobal.net
BirdTrack is an online bird recording scheme led by BTO in partnership with RSPB, BirdWatch
Ireland, Scottish Ornithologists’ Club and Welsh Ornithological Society. It aims to provide a
comprehensive bird recording platform that birdwatchers can use to store and share records of
birds and selected other taxa they encounter whilst birdwatching. The BirdTrack Organiser will
run BirdTrack, promoting it widely and have the vision for new functionality in the mobile app
and web app.
The successful applicant will be an active birder who can talk authoritatively to other birders
and stakeholders and understand what the requirements are from birding apps and what
information users want back. They will have good knowledge of the bird recording community and
they will bring enthusiasm and creativity to further develop BirdTrack.
