WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU
Become a force for nature and a healthy planet by joining the Block Island team! We are looking for an excellent communicator with proven ability to deal with the general public in a friendly, outgoing & professional manner. This is a 12-week position beginning on June 10, 2024 through August 30, 2024. There are three positions, 30-35 hours per week (COVID permitting). Housing is available.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- HS Diploma or GED and 6 months of related experience.
- Experience operating landscaping tools in a safe manner.
- Ability to obtain related licenses or certifications such as first aid, CPR, and driver’s license.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
- Experience or knowledge of natural systems. Knowledge of natural sciences, ornithology and/or botany skills. Experience on boats.
- Ability to complete tasks within assigned timeframes, possibly in the absence of supervision.
SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $15 -16 per hour. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate’s location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
This is a full-time, 35 hours per week position.
