Are you considering training as a broadcast journalist within a Christian media organisation that cares about how news is reported?
United Christian Broadcasters wants to provide a 12-month training opportunity to an individual whose ambition is to become a journalist and work in a newsroom covering national and international news and current affairs.
Supported by a team of experienced Christian broadcast journalists and producers, you will study and learn on the job. This will include researching, writing for radio / online / social media, recording and editing radio interviews, applying media law and the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, and developing your presentation skills for news bulletins and broadcast reporting. You will be based full time at the UCB Broadcast Centre in Hanchurch, Stoke-on-Trent (Postcode ST4 8RY).
You will need to be a committed Christian, with your own personal transport to get to/from the UCB Broadcast Centre, and you must live within reasonable commuting distance.

It is hoped that the successful candidate will be able to take up this role from around August or sooner, if possible.
Starting salary £23,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus staff benefits. UCB benefits include life assurance of 4x salary, healthcare cash plan, and matched pension contributions up to 6%.
