Under the direct supervision of the Business Analysis Manager (Partnerships) – UNISON, the Business Analysis Officer is expected to work in the planning, design, development, testing and roll-out of any new requirements identified by Public Partnerships users, and to support public sector partnerships stakeholders to understand and derive value from UNISON. The incumbent will be a vital link between the business and technical teams and be responsible for drafting documents, conducting trainings, and consulting and coordinating with relevant HQ teams as well as Country Offices and Regional Offices, to support effective integration and drive user adoption for public sector partnerships.
This role is expected to take ownership for coordination across teams working on public sector partnerships, responding to operational issues, and communicating to the wider UNISON business and technical teams. The incumbent will demonstrate strong ability to effectively self-manage priorities and be able to collaborate effectively between end users and technical teams.
The incumbent will work closely with the technical team (Salesforce Solution lead, Integration developer, Salesforce support resources, contracted providers of Salesforce apps) in the rollout and adoption of any new technical solutions. While the focus will be primarily on solutions and uptake for teams working on public sector partnerships across the organization, the incumbent is expected to be familiar with and backstop on the general workings of UNISON for private sector partnerships as well, and to contribute to synergies within the system across public and private sector processes and functions.
How can you make a difference?
With more than 65 percent of UNICEF’s support coming from public sector partners, the Business Analysis Officer (Partnerships) will play a critical role translating the business needs of Partnerships Managers in the Public Partnerships Division (PPD), as well as in Country and Regional Offices to the Technical Team and ensuring efficient collaboration to maximize relationships with public sector partners wherever they may be. The incumbent will also backstop on private sector partnerships matters related to UNISON to ensure streamlined support to all users.
Under the direct supervision of the UNISON Business Analysis Manager, the incumbent will:
- Identify objectives and timeframes for implementation of enhancements related to public partnerships management, including identification and mapping of any new business requirements. Coordinate and update plans and schedules. Organize and prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings and follow up on important actions and decisions. Ensure deadlines are met and provide progress reports on new functionality implemented. Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration, user support materials and systems operations documents.
- In collaboration with the UNISON team, build the capacity of Public Partnerships colleagues across the organization and support them in the effective use of UNISON, including periodic stock-taking to assess capacity; supporting the central training plan and hosting trainings to upskill Partnerships staff on use of UNISON; leading regular drop-in clinics and fielding queries for UNISON support.
- Monitor the quality of public sector data and, in collaboration with the UNISON Data and Analytics Specialist, support colleagues working on public partnerships to upload new information and ‘clean-up’ pre-existing data in UNISON to ensure it accurately reflects the portfolio of current partnerships and new opportunities from public sector partners.
- Develop and maintain communication assets to keep UNISON users abreast of new developments; keep guidance documents up to date; and promote UNISON.
- Acquire a general knowledge of private sector modalities on UNISON and stay abreast of developments in order to serve as a backstopping resource for support to users, and to ensure alignment between public and private sector enhancements.

Education:
- A university degree in one of the following fields is required: international relations, political science, communications, management information systems, business administration, information technology management, or other related social science field.
- Official Salesforce training and or/ certification is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in resource mobilization in a large international organization is required.
- Two year’s work experience with Salesforce for partnership management is required.
- Proven experience supporting colleagues to use Salesforce to effectively manage their partnership portfolio is required.
- Experience developing and presenting in large learning and training sessions, both online and in-person, is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and stakeholder management skills are required.
- Proven experience with data migration is an asset.
- Experience with data analysis, synthesis, and application is an asset.
- Experience working with SharePoint and PowerBI is an asset.
- Proven experience with UN/UNICEF’s ways of working and information flows, especially from a public partnership perspective, is an asset.
Language requirements:
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.
