The Business Analyst will be part of the Maintenance & Engineering Finance team, whereby:
based on data-driven approach;
help analysing the monthly costs;
to (help) make strategic business decisions.
You will be a part of a small finance team, cooperating cross-functionally.
Working together with the Maintenance & Engineering colleagues in order to create transparency about current cost flows, prioritise incentives and solve problems.
By delivering timely and accurate financial data, you will significantly impact management’s decision-making processes.
Main tasks & responsibilities
Perform analysis and financial reporting;
(Assist in) analysing monthly cost deviations from budget and forecast on different Maintenance & Engineering topics
(Assist in) ad hoc business cases or requests in order to support decision which will lead to better financial results. This will be done in close collaboration with business owners
(Assist in) improving transparent reporting within department to provide insights into key topics by using current software (AMOS, Anaplan, Spotfire)
Is responsible for correct payments towards external suppliers
Assist in improving the use of AMOS for financial related topics
Drive continuous improvements to processes and management reporting within the finance organisation to reduce manual effort, redundant work and improve the quality of financial data
Analyse large amounts of data and summarise key takeaways and insights
Your profile
University degree preferably in an economic or engineering environment, or bachelor agree in accounting or finance with relevant experience
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to details and quality of outputs
Strong interpersonal & intercultural communication skills
