Uniting is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to human services. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Sydney CBD. This is a full-time permanent role with a hybrid work model in place.
About the Role:
As a Business Analyst – Finance, you will play a crucial role in optimising our core Finance and Billing management processes. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring a smooth transition to the target state. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in Finance and billing management to drive efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance overall functionality.
Key Accountabilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritise business requirements related to Customer Experience and Billing management.
- Business Process Analysis: Analyse existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend optimised processes aligned with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and new billing system capabilities.
- Solution Validation: Work closely with functional consultants to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements. Develop an understanding of technical requirements and API usage.
- Testing Coordination: Plan and coordinate testing efforts, including user acceptance testing, to validate that implemented solutions effectively address business needs.
- Documentation and Communication: Document and communicate project requirements, business processes, scope, technology impacts, and status to stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the implementation process.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, collaboratively developing and executing mitigation plans.
- Change Management Support: Actively support change management activities, collaborating with the change management team for a smooth transition.
- Team Support and Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders and various IT teams, fostering cross-team collaboration to complete project tasks and produce deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst, focusing on billing and finance systems.
- Experience in technology implementation, including data flow mapping and integrations.
- Proven experience in full lifecycle ERP or Finance implementations, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor, or similar systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Highly skilled in using Jira and Confluence.

- Graduate or postgraduate studies in a related field.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise or transformational efforts, particularly in the aged care industry.
- Agile experience.
- Familiarity with Project Management tools like JIRA.
- Experience in the effective use of Office365 tools across diverse business scenarios.
