What we want

The Business Coordinator II, under general supervision, provides support and coordination of a variety of business activities requiring independent judgment, including reviewing business documents and assisting in developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts and budget data.

What you need to know

Salary : Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Three years of related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aggiebuy, Concur, FAMIS, Canopy experience

Responsibilities:

Financial Duties

  • Serve as the primary accounts payable and purchasing contact.

  • Implement and coordinate purchasing activities to include management of accounts payable, purchasing and requisition processing, payment card allocations and statement reconciliation/verification.

  • Monitor fiscal accounts.

  • Investigate errors on transactions and recommend appropriate corrective action.

  • Process departmental budget requests (DBR), departmental correction requests (DCR) and unit financial obligations (UFO).

  • Maintain unit’s business files and serve as records management coordinator.

  • Process scholarship payments.

  • Verify all federal, state, local, and development accounts.

  • Train faculty and staff on new and existing business procedures related to business activities.

Travel

  • Reviews travel expense reports for accuracy and adherence to university and college guidelines.

  • Assists travelers with errors and modifications.

Inventory and Records Management

  • Performs inventory processes and maintenance of unit(s) inventory.

  • Manages maintenance of unit business files on Laserfiche.

Fiscal Activities

  • Coordinates annual fiscal activities with minimal direct supervision.

  • Assists with coordinating annual fiscal year closing activities.

  • Proposes solutions to complex financial problems.
