Job Title: Business Development Executive
Location: Manchester

Industry: Civil EngineeringWe are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering groundworks, infrastructure, and construction projects across the UK. They are seeking a driven Business Development Executive to help grow their client base, secure new contracts, and strengthen existing relationships.Job Duties:Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in civil engineering, groundworks, and infrastructure sectors.Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, main contractors, consultants, and local authorities.Work closely with the estimating and preconstruction teams to prepare bids and proposals.Attend industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to promote the company’s services.Monitor market trends, competitors, and tender opportunities.Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.Support strategic growth plans and meet agreed sales targets.Candidate Profile:Proven track record in business development or sales, ideally within civil engineering, construction, or related sectors.Strong network of contacts in the infrastructure or groundworks market (desirable).Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites and meetings.Benefits:Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure.Company car or car allowance.Pension scheme and other company benefits.Opportunity to work with a respected contractor with a healthy project pipeline.If you are interested in applying for this position and would like to learn more, send your CV in confidence to the team here at YCR, and we will be in touch shortly.Job Title: Business Development Executive
