About the role
We are seeking a meticulous and driven Business Development Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a perfectionist with exceptional attention to detail, ready to support our business growth through backend admin, proposal writing support and submission. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of quality and precision in all our business development activities.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to secure new projects and partnerships. You will work closely with the head of business development, managing multiple proposal applications simultaneously and ensuring that every submission meets our exacting standards. Candidates interested in developing their skills will have opportunities to learn and practice proposal writing.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Add tender opportunities to our CRM system
- Read thoroughly terms of reference to determine eligibility
- Organise internal meetings
- Manage supporting documentation
- Edit and tailor consultant CVs and profiles for each proposal application
- Draft non-technical sections of proposals
- Ensure proposals are complete and error-free before submission to clients
- Submit proposals via email or client portals
- Email clients to follow up and chase proposal submissions
- Support the creation and maintenance of a proposal template library
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our proposal development process
- Assist in the development and implementation of business growth strategies
- Reply to inbound BD and sales tickets via our ticketing system
- Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by management.
Person Specification
- Qualification and experience
- Masters degree in International Relations, International Development, or a related discipline
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory)
- Fluency in French (mandatory)
- Knowledge of LaTeX code (desirable)
- Ability to cope well under pressure and to very occasionally work irregular hours to meet tight deadlines
- High proficiency in computer use and digital tools for productivity and collaboration
- Knowledge of AI prompting (desirable)
