We’re excited to be recruiting a new team member who will join our driven Corporate Partnerships team and be responsible for securing new corporate and commercial partnerships, whilst strengthening our brand in the UK.

What is the salary?
£ 25,000- £30,000

Will I be managing anyone?
This post has no direct reports but will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships to direct volunteers and ambassadors who can support the objectives of the role.

Where will I work? This is a remote role, but regular travel to meetings is expected – on average, this is likely to be two- four days a month including travel to greater London. Meetings not linked to prospect development such as internal meetings will be self -funded.
The logistics This is a full time, permanent role.

About the role

This new role will join our corporate partnerships team to build on our success of working with UK headquartered companies to raise vital funds to support our vision of a decent home for all. The role will focus on: new partnerships with mid-sized companies, or companies with whom Habitat for Humanity are partnered internationally looking to extend their partnership, the role will also be assigned new inbound opportunities by the Head of Corporate Partnerships.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and engaging with prospective corporate partners, developing, and nurturing relationships to secure new partnerships
  • Responding to inbound mid-sized opportunities as identified and shared by the Head of Corporate partnerships.
  • Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential corporate supporters, with the wider corporate fundraising team
  • Supporting the team to help develop compelling and tailored proposals, showcasing the value of partnerships and the positive impact they can have on our mission.
  • Leading on employee engagement and fundraising concept development for new prospective donors
  • Providing regular updates on new business activities, pipeline progress, and partnership outcomes

The role will help to develop and increase income for HFHGB from corporate partners. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships and working closely with our two partnership managers. We are a small but growing team who work collaboratively and creatively to share ideas to grow our fundraising successes. There is also opportunity to collaborate and learn from global fundraising teams across the Habitat for Humanity family as part of our corporate fundraising community of practice.

The skills we are looking for:

While this role might suit someone already working in the voluntary sector who wants to progress, we’d equally welcome applications from any candidates who feel they have relevant transferable experience and skill sets. The following knowledge, skills and experience are preferred:

  • A good professional networker who actively listens, joins in, and focuses on creating long-term relationships with contacts.
  • Experience of working in a corporate fundraising team, supporting with the development of donor relationships with prospective partners/clients including, prospect research, and the development of tailored propositions reflecting and promoting key donor priorities.
  • Experience of working within a team on pitches and proposals.
  • Experience of cultivating partnerships with clients, from initial connection or introduction to secure long term financial commitment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse global teams, across different time zones.
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to work under pressure to deadlines and use own initiative to solve problems and adapt to changes.
  • Demonstrable passion for the vision of Habitat for Humanity of decent housing for all.
  • Support of Habitat’s values and willingness to be a part of the HFHGB team, contributing to an inclusive, kind and people positive culture.

A Flexible Approach

HFHGB is seeking to rapidly scale up its activities and impact to fight poverty across the world. This means that the organisation must be adaptable and flexible and have an ambitious, and dynamic team. While this is currently a home-based role, it is an expectation that the post holder will be flexible, and able to travel to Greater London and elsewhere on a regular basis. Where this travel is not linked to new fundraising opportunities, it is expected to be self-funded.

This role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship – the successful applicant will need to have a pre-existing Right to Work in the UK in order to be offered an employment contract.
