Are you an outstanding individual with a passion for practical projects that address
climate change? Come, join the community energy revolution!

Brighton & Hove Energy Services Co-operative Ltd (BHESCo) is a leading
community energy organisation, an ambitious and growing social enterprise that prioritises
social and environmental impact. Our mission is to accelerate the uptake of renewable energy
and energy efficiency interventions in the built environment by designing, financing and
developing low-carbon energy systems on behalf of our customers.

BHESCo is committed to achieving a just energy transition – a decarbonisation journey in which
all societal groups can participate and nobody is left behind. This commitment is embedded in
BHESCo’s innovative approach, which involves collaboration with leading industry and technology
partners, along with academics focused on fuel poverty alleviation and energy justice.

We provide independent expertise to clients who wish to reduce their carbon footprint and cut
their energy costs with thermally efficient buildings and clean, affordable, community-owned
energy generation. In 8 years BHESCo has completed 59 projects that will collectively reduce
CO2 emissions by over 7,500 tonnes during their lifetime and provide clients with financial

medium sized enterprises, schools and local authorities.

The Role

The Business Development manager is responsible for delivering the business targets established

and the general public, while consistently working to increase our customer base.

An important part of this role is preparing tenders and writing bids for projects. These will
be through government procurement channels or enquiries received.
