Conflict Management Consulting (CMC) provides monitoring & evaluation and research services, as well as technical assistance in fragile, conflict and post-conflict countries. We support the work for international organizations, governments, and civil society organisations, to make evidence-based decisions. Our in-house staff and global network of consultants offer in-depth thematic expertise on conflict prevention, peacebuilding, stabilization, violent extremism, governance, and migration.

1. Scope of Work
As Business Development Officer, you will support the Business Development team in identifying and pursuing new project opportunities, maintaining project references and records. Also, you will lead in in managing CMC’s consultant network, assist in managing the company’s existing Framework Contracts the production of marketing and communications materials. You will primarily report to the Business Manager but will work with the wider global Team. The position is fully remote.
Be responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide administrative support to ongoing BD activities, including management and growing of the existing database.
- Recruitment of consultants and staff members, this includes, drafting TORS, scopes of work, developing past performance matrices, formatting CVs, and creating new/updating existing business development resources.
- Support with development, drafting, review, and coordination of agreements between CMC and external stakeholders (e.g. pre-teaming agreements, NDAs, consultant agreements, etc.)
- Under the leadership of the BD manager, support the management of existing partnerships, and grow the partners existing database.
- Provide coordination and administrative support to proposal writing, ensuring information, folders, and documents are appropriately saved on the shared drive and document discussions and decisions in important meetings.
- Assist with proposals schedule development, outline, calendars, data calls, and content research.

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Relevant Master/bachelor’s degree in social sciences or economics.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in our field of work, including experience in developing FWC coordination, Business development.
- Familiarity with the procurement mechanisms of any of the main international donors, including the EU and USAID.
- Experience in working in international development sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Word, SharePoint, Teams.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and against tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- A team player approach with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow.
- Experience in working remotely.
- Excellent networking and persuasive conversation skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate with senior experts and partners.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in graphic design is an asset.
4. KNOWLEDGE
- You are well-informed about global political and social relations and developments, and you have a good understanding of the major actors in international development and peacebuilding.
- You have a strong interest to expand your knowledge of CMC’s main fields of work.
5. WORKING CONDITIONS
- The position is full-time and home-based.
- The start date is as soon as possible and when we have identified a suitable candidate.
- There will be a three-months’ probation period.
- You will have 24 vacation days per year in addition to national holidays.
- You will closely work with CMC’s Business Development Manager, CMC’s Managing Director, and the project implementation teams.
