About the Role

Uniting is seeking an experienced Business Lead to work at Uniting on a full-time permanent basis. As a Business Lead, you will play a key part in Uniting Aged Care team (Residential, Independent Living, and Home & Community Care).

This is a management role within the Aged Care team and is responsible for leading the local implementation of business stream initiatives and providing specialist advice around funding, operational management and business improvement practices.

This role focuses on the provision of coaching, advice and support to build capability and capacity within the local operational team, specialising in funding, rostering practices, capital expenditure, hotel services and contract management. 

As Business Lead, your role will:

  • In collaboration with the wider Seniors Health Care team you will lead and facilitate the local implementation of stream-wide quality management strategies, initiatives and plans;
  • Work to enable Service and Area Managers to implement effective quality improvement activities;
  • Lead the provision of specialist funding advice at the local level;
  • Work in support of other Uniting functions and teams to foster coordination across the organisation, avoid duplication, standardising on efficient processes and delivering continuous improvement;
  • Manage the delivery of specific projects within the Business Plans.

Your experience ticks the following boxes

  • A tertiary qualifications in business, management, or a health-care related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working at management level in the health and/or aged care sector
  • A significant experience in leading and influencing people through change
  • A demonstrated ability to implement business improvement strategies with measurable outcomes
